Kemri To Launch Ebola Vaccine Trial

The Kenya Medical Research Institute (Kemri) is set to launch clinical vaccination trials for Ebola vaccine.

Kemri Walter Reed project Kericho Senior Deputy Director Fredric Sawe said the researchers will launch the trials in June. “People were scared to travel to West Africa or to host passengers from that region. Governors To Sue State Over Transfer Of Functions

Governors will move to court to demand transfer of disputed functions and their budgets totalling to over Sh168 billion. The contested functions, part of the 14 assigned tasks include roads, water, health, irrigation, fuel levy funds and parastatals.

1,500 Kenyan Youths Recruited By Al Shabaab Have Surrendered, Declares State

According to the Government, many of the youths are from Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi and Lamu counties and other parts of the country including Central Kenya. Monday, Interior Permanent Secretary Karanja Kibicho unveiled a group of 19 youths, including five women, whom he said were part of a group of 48 former radicals who had surrendered. The youths have undergone a government sponsored de-radicalisation and rehabilitation programme.
